Your notifications (the bell)
On this page
Tap Notifications at the top right to see what has happened on your account. The top of the screen also lists jobs that wait for you.
In the appNotificationsWhat does the number on the bell mean?
It is the number of unread notifications plus the number of jobs in the Need your attention panel. It shows 9+ when the total is above nine. The number on your phone’s app icon is the same.
So the number does not go away just because you read everything. A job clears when you do it, such as shipping an order.
What is Need your attention?
It is a panel at the top of the Notifications screen. It lists work that is waiting for you. Tap a row to go straight to the screen where you finish it. If the job belongs to another of your profiles, the app switches to that profile first.
Rows you may see:
- An order to ship. It says You have 5 days to ship.
- A delivery to confirm. It says Your payout waits on this.
- A return to inspect. It shows how much time is left to accept or reject it.
- A return to ship back. It shows how many days are left to send it back.
- Finish your payout setup
- Add a payment method
- Add a delivery address
- Add a photo to your profile
- Set your opening hours (Service Provider)
- A license to renew (Service Provider)
- Turn selling notifications back on. It shows if you turned Selling off in your notification settings.
You cannot dismiss or snooze these rows. A row goes away when the job is done.
How do I use the list?
- Tap Notifications.
- Tap All, Selling or Buying to filter the list.
- Tap a notification to open what it is about, such as an order, a booking or a listing.
- Tap Load more at the bottom to see older ones.
Notifications are grouped under TODAY, THIS WEEK and EARLIER. The list shows the last 30 days. A new one has a dot. Tapping a notification clears its dot, and leaving the screen marks the rest as seen. Account and security notices show under All only.
Some notifications are joined into one row. For example, a shop you follow that lists three items in a day gives one row that says it listed 3 new items.
I have more than one profile. Whose notifications do I see?
You see them all on one screen. Each row says which profile it is for, such as Preloved Closet, Boutique, Services or Content.
If a notification is about a listing, service, post or profile that XO Bestie flagged, tapping it switches you to the profile that owns it.
Where are my chat messages?
Messages are never in the bell. Check the paper plane. See Messages.
