Creating a post

You make a post with the Post button in the middle of the bottom bar. It shows only while your Creator profile is active. Your post goes live as soon as you tap Post. There are no drafts.

How do I make a post?

1. Switch to your Creator profile. Tap Menu and tap Switch Role.
2. Tap Post in the middle of the bottom bar.
3. On Content, tap the photos and videos you want. A number shows the order.
4. Tap Next.
5. If you picked a video, trim it on Trim, then tap Next.
6. On What’s in this post?, choose what you are tagging, then tap Next.
7. If you are tagging something, pick it on What are you tagging?, then tap Next. See Tagging products, services and shoppable links in a post.
8. On Caption, write a caption if you want one.
9. Tap Post.

How many photos and videos can I add?

Up to 12 in one post. You need at least one. The first tile in your photos is the camera, so you can take a photo there. Photos taken this way are not saved to your phone.

How do I choose which part of a photo shows?

Pinch and drag the photo in the preview on Content. Use and to turn it. Framing and turning work on photos only.

What is the 3:4 button?

The button switches the frame of the post between 3:4 and 1:1. The frame starts at 3:4. Changing it resets how your photos are framed. No other shapes are available.

How do I trim a video?

On Trim, drag the two ends of the strip to keep the part you want. The kept part must be between 1 and 90 seconds. If the post has more than one item, tap Remove to take the one shown out of the post. Photos stay as they are. To add more items, tap Back.

What video and photo sizes work?

• Videos must be MP4 or MOV.
• A long video starts trimmed to its first 90 seconds.
• A photo that is too small is refused.

How long can my caption be?

Up to 2,000 characters. A caption is optional. If it holds a word XO Bestie does not allow, the app names the word and does not post.

What happens after I tap Post?

The app takes you to the Feed right away. A row at the top shows how it is going.

Keep the app open until your post is live. If it doesn’t finish, tap the line at the top of the Feed to try again.

You can post one thing at a time. If you tap Post while another post is uploading, the app asks you to give it a moment.

Can I post a video from a web browser?

No. On a web browser you can post photos only. To post a video, use the XO Bestie app on your phone.

Can I change a post after I post it?

You can change the caption, or delete the post. See Editing or deleting a post.
