Following shops, closets and creators

To follow someone, tap Follow on their profile or under one of their posts. To stop, tap Following on their profile and then Unfollow. You need to be signed in.

How do I follow someone?

1. Open a profile, or find a post from that person in the Feed tab.
2. Tap Follow.

The button changes to Following. You can follow a Bestie profile, a Boutique, a Creator or a Service Provider. Every kind of profile can follow every other kind. You cannot follow the profile you are using.

How do I unfollow someone?

• On a profile: tap Following, then tap Unfollow.
• On a post: tap More under the post, then tap Unfollow. The app does not ask again.
• In your Following list: tap Unfollow on the person’s row, then tap Unfollow again to confirm, or Cancel.

Which of my profiles follows?

The profile you are using when you tap Follow. If you have more than one profile, each one has its own Following list.

Your feed shows posts from everyone your whole account follows. So you can see a Follow button on a post from someone that another of your profiles already follows. Switch profile to check the other list. See Choosing a profile.

Where do I see my followers and who I follow?

Tap Followers or Following. You find these buttons at the top of Preloved, Shops and Feed. They show the numbers for the profile you are using. You can also tap them on any profile page.

Each list has two tabs, Followers and Following. On a row you can tap Follow or Unfollow. On a row you follow, tap to start a chat. Your own row says You.

You can open the lists on someone else’s profile too.

What changes when I follow someone?

• They can show in your stories row when they listed or posted in the last 48 hours.
• Their new listings can show on your home screen.
• Their posts rank higher in your feed. See Using the feed.

The profile you follow can get a notification in the bell that you started following them.

What is the heart on a Services shop card?

It is a like, not a follow. To follow a Service Provider, open their shop page and tap Follow.

Can I block someone?

No. If someone is bothering you, contact us and tell us who it is. See Contacting XO Bestie Support.
