Editing your profile picture, banner, name and bio

Open Edit Profile from your profile page. You can change your banner, picture, Display Name, Profile Name and bio there. Edit Profile changes only the profile you are using now.

This is for Bestie, Boutique and Creator profiles. On a Boutique or Creator profile, the settings tab and the row carry that name. A Service Provider edits a shop instead. See Service Provider settings explained.

How do I open Edit Profile?

1. Tap Menu.
2. Tap your settings tab, like Bestie Settings.
3. Tap Your Bestie Profile. On a Boutique it reads Your Boutique Profile. On a Creator it reads Your Creator Profile.
4. Tap Edit Profile.

How do I change my profile picture or banner?

1. On Edit Profile, tap on the banner or on the picture circle.
2. Choose a photo.
3. Move and zoom the photo to fit the frame. You can tap Rotate left, Rotate right or Mirror.
4. Tap Use photo.

A new picture or banner is saved as soon as you tap Use photo. You do not need to press Save. The picture is a circle. The banner is wide.

If photo access is off, the app tells you XO Bestie needs access to your photos. You can turn it on in your phone’s settings.

How do I change my name and bio?

1. On Edit Profile, change Display Name, Profile Name or My Bio.
2. Tap Save.

Save stays grey until you change something. If you changed the Profile Name, it also stays grey until the name shows Available.

• Display Name can be up to 30 characters. Changing it never changes your Profile Name.
• My Bio can be up to 160 characters and 4 lines.

How do I change my Profile Name?

Your Profile Name is your @handle. It has 8 to 30 characters: lowercase letters, numbers and underscores. The app shows Available or Taken. Try another. as you type.

You can change it once every 14 days. If you changed it recently, the field is greyed out. The date you can change it again shows under it, like You can change this again on a date.

Is my Profile Name the name I sign in with?

No. You sign in with your email or your user ID. Your user ID is separate. See Changing your user ID.

Can I add links to my social media or a website?

No. Edit Profile has no social links or website field.

Who checks my changes?

A new picture, banner, Display Name or bio is checked after you save it. If XO Bestie hides part of your profile, a red appears beside your name. You also get a notification. Tap it to see what to fix. See Why was my content flagged?.

Do my changes apply to all my profiles?

No. Each profile has its own picture, banner, names and bio. Edit Profile changes the profile you are using now. Switch first to edit another one. See Switching profiles and adding a new one.
