Paying for a booking: deposits, the balance and tips
On this page
You are charged in one or two parts. A deposit is taken when you book, but only if the shop asks for one. The rest is charged to your card when the shop finishes your visit. You always need a card to book.

Do I pay when I book?
Only if the shop asks for a deposit. Before you book, the Confirm booking screen shows what you pay now.
How big is the deposit?
The shop sets it, as a percent of your booking.
When is the rest charged?
When the shop finishes your appointment. The card you booked with is charged the rest, minus any deposit you paid.
How does the tip work?
You do not choose a tip when you book. It is added when the shop finishes your visit.
Are there extra fees for me?
No. You pay for your services, products, tip and tax. If you reschedule late, there may be a charge. See rescheduling or cancelling a booking.
What if the shop adds something at my visit?
The shop can add services and products when it finishes your appointment. They are added to what is charged to your card.
What if my card is declined?
- When you book: no booking is made. Pick or add another card and try again. If your bank asks you to confirm, finish its step.
- At your visit: your booking shows what is still due. Contact the shop.
Where can I see what I paid?
Open your booking in your booked services. It shows what you paid and the card you used.
What about refunds?
If you cancel in time, your deposit goes back to your card. If you cancel late, the shop keeps it. If the shop cancels, you always get your deposit back in full. See rescheduling or cancelling a booking. For refunds in general, see when will I receive my refund.
