To list a product, tap Sell and fill in four steps. When you tap Post listing, the product goes live. Before your first listing, the app asks you to set three things. See Before you can sell.

  1. Product detailsWhat it is
  2. Shipping & handlingHow it gets there
  3. InventoryColors, sizes and stock
  4. Price & earningYour price and what you earn

How do I start a listing?

In the appSellList a product
  1. Tap Sell in the bottom bar.
  2. If a Before you can sell panel opens, finish the steps it shows. Then tap Sell again.
  3. The form opens with the title List a product.

You can also start from Menu > Boutique Settings > My Inventory. Tap Add a product at the bottom. It uses the same checklist.

What do I fill in for Product details?

You pick a Product type, then the Category and the levels under it. Each level shows only after you pick the one before. Then you add:

  • Brand. Start typing and pick a suggestion, or type your own.
  • Title. It must be at least 3 characters and at most 150.
  • Description. It must be at least 10 characters and at most 1,500.
  • Style, Material and Tags. These are optional.

A Boutique does not choose a condition. The products are new.

How do I set shipping?

On Shipping & handling you choose who ships and who pays. Read Setting your shipping policy for the full choices.

  1. Pick XO Bestie handles shipping and delivery or I will handle shipping myself.
  2. If XO Bestie ships, enter the package Length, Width, Height and Weight.
  3. Choose who pays for shipping.
  4. Tap Next.

If XO Bestie ships, the app also asks one question about hazardous items. Answer No or Yes and tap Continue.

You choose shipping for each listing. The app does not remember it for the next one.

How do I add colors, sizes and stock?

On Inventory you build one card for each color. Some categories call it a shade, a scent or a flavor. Each card has its own photos, sizes and quantities.

  1. Tap Add a color.
  2. Pick a color, or choose Name your own color.
  3. Add photos for that color. The first photo is the cover.
  4. Tap Add size and pick a size.
  5. Type how many you have in Qty.
  6. To add another color, tap Add another color.
  7. Tap Next.

These are the limits:

  • Up to 6 photos for each color.
  • Up to 12 colors.
  • Up to 200 size and color combinations in one listing.

Each photo opens a cropper. Pinch to zoom and drag to move it. Then tap Use photo.

Some categories have no colors. Then you add the sizes, stock and photos once for the whole listing.

How do I set my price?

On Price & earning you type your Listing price. That is what a customer pays before shipping. There is no original price for a Boutique.

A panel called What you earn shows your item price, the XO Bestie fee, payment processing, the shipping label and what you earn. Check it before you post. See XO Bestie platform fee.

The app refuses a price that is too low. It tells you the lowest price you can list. It also refuses a price that would earn you nothing after fees and shipping.

How do I post it?

  1. Check the summary on the last step.
  2. Tap Post listing.

The product goes live right away. XO Bestie then checks the brand, title, description and photos. If something is flagged, the listing may be hidden from shoppers. Edit it to take out what was flagged. Once it checks clean, it goes back on sale by itself. Read Why was my content flagged?.

What happens when a product sells out?

When all the stock is gone, the listing shows Sold out. To sell it again, edit the listing and add stock. Read Editing a listing.

Can I save a draft or upload many products at once?

No. You add one product at a time, and it is saved when you tap Post listing. Listings take photos, not videos.
