Selling fees: what XO Bestie charges
On this page
You only pay when you sell. There is no fee to list an item, no monthly fee and no subscription. Buyers pay no XO Bestie fee. On each sale, the seller pays two fees.
What are the two fees?
- XO Bestie fee. This is what XO Bestie charges for the sale.
- Payment processing. This is the card processing fee.
When you set your price, the What you earn panel shows both fees and exactly what you earn.
Where do I see my exact earnings before I list?
- Start a new listing. See How to list pre-loved items.
- Go to the step named Price & earning.
- Type your price.
A panel named What you earn appears. It shows:
- Item price
- Shipping the customer pays, when the customer pays shipping
- XO Bestie fee
- Payment processing
- Shipping label, with a note about who pays
- You earn
Service providers see the same panel on each service price. See How to list your services.
What does shipping cost me?
- XO Bestie handles shipping and the customer pays: nothing comes out of your earnings.
- XO Bestie handles shipping and you offer free shipping: the label cost comes out of your earnings.
- You ship it yourself: you buy your own label, so make sure your price covers it.
See Choosing how an item ships.
What is the lowest price I can list?
The lowest price you can list is $1.00, and the price must leave you something after fees and shipping.
Do the same fees apply to bookings and in-person sales?
Yes. The same XO Bestie fee and payment processing fee apply to bookings and to sales taken at the till.
What if I cancel a sale?
If you cancel a sale, the buyer is refunded in full and you are charged the card processing fee. See Cancelling a sale.
When are the fees taken?
Fees come off before your money is paid out. You see them in your Wallet. See Your Wallet explained and When you get paid.
Do the fees change on old sales if the rate changes?
No. Each sale keeps the fees it was sold with.
