Your privacy choices and where to read our policies

You can read our terms and policies in the app under Privacy, Terms & Legal. On the website, you can also opt out of personalized ads.

Where do I read the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy?

1. Tap Menu and open Global Settings.
2. Tap Privacy, Terms & Legal.
3. Tap the document you want to read.

The list has these rows:

• Terms of Use
• Privacy Policy
• Privacy choices (website only)
• Payments
• Shipping and returns
• Hazardous materials
• Account Closure Policy
• Open source licences

Each policy shows the date it was last updated.

Where is the policy for closing my account?

Tap Account Closure Policy in the list. It is the same text you confirm when you close your account. See Closing your account.

How do I opt out of personalized ads?

This is on the website only, at xobestie.com. The phone apps do not have this choice.

1. On your first visit, a bar appears on the page. Tap Opt out to opt out, or Ok to accept.
2. To change your choice later, scroll to the bottom of the site. Under Legal, tap Privacy choices.
3. On Your privacy choices, choose Opt out of personalized ads or Keep ads personalized.

On the website, Privacy, Terms & Legal also has a Privacy choices row. It brings back the bar with Opt out and Ok.

Opting out stops the site’s analytics and advertising tools from loading in that browser. Shopping and selling work as before.

Is my choice saved to my account?

No. It is saved in that browser only. A different browser or device, or clearing your site data, asks you again.

What is Global Privacy Control?

It is a setting in some browsers. If your browser sends it, we count it as opting out. If you make a choice yourself, we use your choice instead.

What about tracking on my iPhone?

The iPhone app can show Apple’s own question about allowing tracking. To change your answer, open the iPhone Settings app and find XO Bestie.
