Selling pre-loved: start here

With a Bestie profile, you can sell pre-loved items from your closet. That can be one piece or a whole resale business. Your listings show on the Preloved tab and on your closet page.

You need a Bestie profile to sell pre-loved. If you do not have one yet, see How do I add another profile?.

What do I need before I can sell?

Tap Sell in the bottom bar. The app checks your account each time you tap it. If something is missing, a panel called Before you can sell opens. It shows each step and how many are left. A Bestie has three:

Set where you ship from
Set your return policy
Set how you get paid

Tap a step that is not done to go to that screen. When all three are done, Sell opens the listing form. See Before you can sell for each step.

How do I list an item?

The form has four steps: Product details, Shipping & handling, Inventory and Price & earning. Your item goes live when you tap Post listing. See Listing a pre-loved item for every field.

How does a sale work?

You list. Your price, shipping choice and earnings are set in the listing form.
Someone buys. The order shows in Manage Orders under Unshipped. See Managing your orders.
You ship. You have 5 days to ship. If you do not, the order is cancelled and the customer is refunded. See Shipping a sale.
A customer may ask for a return. Your return policy sets the window. See Handling a return request.
You get paid. See Getting paid on XO Bestie and When do I get paid?.

What does it cost to sell?

The listing form has a What you earn panel. It shows your item price, the XO Bestie fee, Payment processing and the Shipping label, then what You earn. See XO Bestie platform fee.

Which Bestie Settings rows will I use?

Open Menu then Bestie Settings. These rows sit under Selling:

My Closet: your published and unpublished listings. You can edit, unpublish or publish each one. A sold item cannot be changed.
Manage Orders: orders, shipping and returns.
Discounts and Promotions: markdowns and bundle offers on your listings. See Discounts and promotions.
Ship From Address: where carriers pick up your packages.
Return Policy: the return window you offer customers.

Can I save a draft or upload many items at once?

No. The listing form has no draft and no bulk upload. You post one item at a time, and you cannot add a video.
