What items am I not allowed to sell?
On this page
Some items can’t be sold on XO Bestie. Every listing is checked, and shoppers can report a listing that breaks the rules.
What can’t I sell?
- Used cosmetics and skincare. Pre-loved beauty items must be sealed and unopened.
- Anything outside our three product types: Fashion, Beauty & Wellness, and Home & Living.
- Anything that breaks our rules, such as restricted items, fakes, drugs, weapons or nudity.
Can I sell hazardous items?
Some items are hazardous to post, like aerosols, batteries, perfume, nail polish, lighters and matches. When XO Bestie handles your shipping, you answer a HAZMAT Information question. If you answer Yes, the item ships by USPS Ground Advantage only and must be packed on its own. See choosing how an item ships.
What can a listing be reported for?
- Selling or promoting restricted items
- Nudity or sexual activity
- Scam, fraud or spam
- Intellectual property
- Bullying, self-harm, suicide
- Violence, hate or exploitation
- Something else
Our team looks at each report. See reporting a listing or a post.
What does XO Bestie check on my listing?
After you save a listing, XO Bestie checks its brand name, title, description and photos. A listing can be hidden when the check is very sure that it breaks the rules. It can also stay live and be sent to our team. This happens, for example, for:
- Contact details.
- Asking people to pay or deal outside XO Bestie.
- Words that are not allowed.
- Drugs or weapons.
See why was my content flagged.
What happens if my listing is flagged?
A hidden listing shows Flagged and cannot be published by hand. Edit what was flagged, and it comes back when it checks clean. See unpublishing a listing.
Can I sell to other countries?
No. For now, XO Bestie works in the United States only.
What if I am not sure an item is allowed?
Write to Support before you list it. See contacting XO Bestie Support.
